What's Eating Spencer's Grapes?

Or rather strawberries.

So we started a garden this year. We have been getting lots of strawberries, which we are thrilled about, BUT something is eating them! Since we are new to this, I am not sure where to start. Does anyone of my billion readers have a clue?

Here's a picture of the damage. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Potentials culprits include Birds, Crown Borer, Cutworm, Mites, Aphids, Leaf Tiers, Nematodes, Rabbits, Slugs, Snails, Spittlebug, Squirrels, or the Strawberry Root Weevil.

Do not kill the nematodes, they are good for killing beetles. Though the nematode is also responsible for elephantidis, so don't let owen eat the berries. Unless you want him to someday make a movie with Cher.

That looks like bird damage. My garden has not started producing fruit/veggies yet, but it should be soon. At that time I'll be looking for some organic-pest control techniques, so let me know what you try and what works.

Sorry I have been climbing the fence at night and just taking a nibble. I didn't think you would notice!! Tell Spencer they taste great.

I'm going with gnomes... not the cute ones like spokes model for Travelocity; but the ugly ones, like in Harry Potter...

I suggest calling Ron Weasley.
