A few months back TJ posted a blog entry with a video of Malibu from American Gladiators. Thanks to TJ for the inspiration for Owen's and our costumes this year. Just too bad more people couldn't see how awesome we all look in spandex!

Love the spandex. Very classy family. Where on earth did you find those costumes?
We made them! well sort of, we pieced them together. Mostly the outfits consist of thrift store work out clothes and iron on labels just printed off the computer.
The Joust sticks were a little more challenging, The stick is PVC pipe covered in a water noodle (old blankets on the ends), and then a layer or two Duck Tape.
We had a blast doing it! The ultimate goal was for people to think we were classy, so mission accomplished!
your costumes are the coolest. I hope you guys were giving eachother high fives all the time. We are so bummed we missed your party. One of these years we'll have to fly out.
I can't believe you made them! I was thinking you must have, but Owen's looks to good to be home-made. Kuddos to you. Put up pics of everyone's costumes, we love to see your crazy Halloween costumes and are totally jealous of your parties!
