I have been trying to tell Spencer about this for a while. Every time the Thomas The Train theme song turns on, Owen does this little dance. Watching it just warms me up inside and I feel like the best mom in the world! On a side note, don't you remember being told that you would go blind if you sat too close to the TV? I think the damage may already be done.

So last week I was talking to a friend studying optometry (or something like that...studying the eye) and I asked him about the sitting-too-close-to-the-T.V. rule.
He said that there is no evidence that sitting close does damage to the eyes. You could probably get a headache or something, but as far as affecting the biology of the eye, there's nothing to fear about sitting close.
Hurrah!
Speaking for Ian and myself, I would have to say that our 15-20 vision is evidence that sitting too close to the tv does not affect vision.

Thanks for saying Hello. So your on baby number 2, pretty exciting! When are you due? Where are you guys living at? I havent seen you in forever... It's true, we did have some very excellent sleepovers, back in the day! As for movie recommendations, I get out of my house like once every 2 months- that second baby REALLY does you in... haha!!
I hope the dance doesn't mean too much tv, because if it does I'm a bad mom. Roman's show of choice is blues clues. Lucky you - Thomas the Train. The most expensive toy a child could like. Two of my nephews and one of my nieces are obsessed with Thomas.
Owen sure has sweet moves! We are excited to see you for Christmas.
Spencer, Ian has recently needed to start wearing glasses. Although, he has been told almost everyone going through law school ends up needing them. I'm sure that's the cause and not the tv.
I think it's interesting what Cblakes mentioned. I'm happy to hear that. Our tv was so small we had to sit rather close just to see it. Although, thanks to you all we can now sit further back and enjoy the tv you're letting us borrow. Thanks!

I love that! I get that same feeling when Miles dances. Only his is less dancing and more snapping- oh and sometimes he turns around in a circle. It's amazing.
